Winbreaker Ponies is a full-service training facility with a focus on training ponies to drive.

Every horse brought to Winbreaker Ponies is considered an individual with different talents, but the training approach is the same: Maximize the horse's potential while keeping the owner's goals in perspective and realistic. Once we see what the horse is willing to give, together with the owner we find the best channel for their talents.
The Winbreaker training program is strongly focused on the amateur. Training the amateur horse owner to handle, show and enjoy their own animal is critical to the continued growth of this breed. Just as gratifying as training your future champion horse is training you to experience the thrill for yourself! Lessons are strongly encouraged and are included in the cost of training.

Much attention is paid to keeping your horse SAFE and HEALTHY while in our care:

THE BARN is 150'x50' and features individual, matted, 10x12 stalls. A locked insulated tack room keeps harness and blankets dry and secure. Hot and cold running water make bathing and laundry nice and convenient.

THE MAIN ARENA is 200' x100' and with sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains and the San Juan Islands, it's not a bad place to go to work every day! We are also fortunate to have free use of the adjacent berry farm fields for endless miles of driving. This gets the ponies accustomed to different kinds of obstacles and challenges, and breaks up the monotony of the controlled
arena environment when appropriate.

THE HORSE TRAILER is customized for small equine and equipped with a closed-circuit
camera system for monitoring the horses from the cab of the truck while traveling.

While competitive showing of the American Shetland Pony is our specialty, we have worked many different pony breeds and AMHR miniature horses for other purposes such as CDE, youth summer camp programs, parades, and all-around pleasure driving enjoyment.

Training openings are kept to a limited basis to ensure your horse gets the personal
